Ingredients:

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained slightly OR 6 – 8 Roma tomatoes, cored.

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

½ teaspoon sugar (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

(Optional) Pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions:

Blend the diced tomatoes in a blender or food processor until smooth (or leave it chunky if you prefer).

Mix in olive oil and seasonings.

Let sit for 10–15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Optional: Simmer on the stove for 10–15 minutes to thicken and deepen the flavor, but it’s fine to use as-is!
