Bacon Meatballs with Green Beans and Roasted Apples

A comforting dish featuring savory bacon-infused meatballs, roasted green beans and apples, and a drizzle of sweet honey-Dijon sauce topped with crispy onions.

Ingredients

From Your Box:

  • ½ oz. Crispy Fried Onions
  • 8 oz. Green Beans
  • ½ fl. oz. Honey
  • 1.26 oz. Mayonnaise
  • ½ oz. Dijon Mustard
  • 4 oz. Red Apple Slices
  • ½ oz. Crumbled Bacon
  • 2 Butter Crackers
  • ½ tsp. Garlic Salt

Protein (Customize It):

  • 10 oz. Ground Beef (default)
  • OR substitute with:
  • 12 oz. Impossible Burger
  • 10 oz. Ground Pork
  • 10 oz. Antibiotic-Free Ground Beef

You Will Need

  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • Oven preheated to 425°F

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Rinse green beans and apple slices, then pat dry.
  • Spread green beans and apples in a baking tray in a single layer.
  • Bake uncovered for 10 minutes.

2. Make the Meatballs

  • While vegetables bake, finely crush the crackers.
  • In a bowl, mix:
    • Ground beef or selected protein
    • Crumbled bacon
    • Half the mayonnaise (reserve the rest)
    • Crushed crackers
    • ¼ tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper
  • Form mixture into 6 equal-sized meatballs.
  • Carefully remove the tray from the oven. Push apples and beans to one side and sprinkle with:
    • Garlic salt
    • ¼ tsp. salt
    • Pinch of pepper
  • Place meatballs on the empty side of the tray.

3. Finish the Dish

  • Bake uncovered until meatballs reach 160°F, about 18–22 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix remaining mayonnaise, honey, and Dijon in a bowl.
  • Remove tray from oven and let rest 3 minutes.
  • Drizzle meatballs with the honey-mayo sauce and top with crispy fried onions.

Internal Cooking Temperatures

  • Ground Beef & Pork: 160°F
  • Chicken & Ground Turkey: 165°F
  • Whole Cuts of Steak, Pork, Lamb, Seafood: 145°F (rest 3 mins)
