HOW TO BUILD ‘EM
- Weigh out your hamburger. I use slightly more than 4 ounces to make an 8 ounce burger (pre-cooked weight).
- Put down some wax paper on a dinner plate. Lay another piece of wax paper on top. Using another dinner plate, press down on the burger. You want them to be no more than 1/2 inch thick, a little thinner is better. They should be about 5-6 inches across.
- Put a small patty of butter on each beef patty.
- Fire up your griddle and let it get as hot as you can and place the beef patties butter side down on the griddle.
- Cook for about 5 minutes then turn. For extra buttery flavor add more butter and then flip.
- Cook for another 5 minutes or so, add bacon, cheese or other toppings (onions) and stack the burgers on each other.
- Cook until cheese is melty.
- Add to bun with lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard and DUKE’S mayonnaise.
Eat. Enjoy.
